Here is a custom made Stag knife of large proportions. The knife is very well made with a long 8 1/4" blade! The blade is highly polished but has light scratches from being wiped and polished. The photos don't show them well enough but they are there. I believe an expert polishing would remove them and bring the blade back to a mirror finish as there are no other problems with it.
The blade spine has a nicely rounded finish and sports a 3 1/4" unsharpened clip. There is a script 'S' inscribed on the blade tang by the maker but I do not know who that is. I'm blank on the steel used for the blade since I can't determine the maker.
The handle is a nice piece of textured stag that feels great in the hand. The handle is 4 1/2" including the nicely shaped single finger guard, contour angled and polished butt cap and black and red spacers on either ends of the premium stag. Very nice configuration.
The sheath is a sturdy, handmade roughback in black leather. It shows signs of being carried or worn some but it still has many years of service left. All stitching is intact.
This knife still looks great on the wall but would make a great companion in the field.
